Quick question regarding Sig colors

I recently read a post regarding that very cool proto jp in score and how it wasn't produced cuz john didn't really dig it......do the signiture artist have complete say as to all the colors for the line?? Or solely Bp, or does Bp and the artist come to some sort of deal? Just curious, cuz deep down inside i hope Bp makes an executive decision and makes me one of those score protos =D lol.

Great question; and I don't have a clue. But here is my educated (if you can call it educated) guess.

I would venture to say that the artist presents to the company/director a preference on color either on his own or off of a color selection list presented by the company.

Then, artist/company discuss colors artist is leaning towards. Then, company sheds light on certain issues that the artist may not be aware of regarding colors choices; then they come to agreement on the production color.

I'm probably totally wrong!!
