I'm new to this site and I have to admit, I don't even have a Music Man. YET!!

I actually just put a Radiance Red Stingray5 LTD in layway and I'm hoping to have it within about a month. I'm not a real big fan of red guitars but this was the only 5 string MM they had and after playing it once I fell in love. I figured the color would grow on me.

Well, it already has AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE IT YET!!

Anyway I heard that you can still order these, even though they came out as a limited ed. So do they all count as a LTD or just the 2004's??? I mean do they all look exactly the same? Do they all have the limited name plate?

Any responses would be appreciated

congrats man ... youll love the bass.

here's my understanding on the rad LE ...

It WAS an LE but since the color was popular enough it joined the ranks of the standard colors after the LE run was over. The LE versions should have a black headstock (am i correct here?) and will have some painted marking on the body near the neck pocket saying they're an LE. (maybe an LE plate too - i dunno)

someone should chime in and fill in the holes that I left but i think that about covers the differences

You're all over it, man. The LTDs do have the black headstock and fancy colored lettering, too.

Thanx for the quick replies.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. So I'm going to assume that the Rad's available after the limited run don't come with the black headstock. Personally I think the black headstock is a nice touch.

Dr. Stankface,
I have to say, that's a pretty nice looking red. I didn't say I "hated" red, it's just not a color I usually look at. I'm more of a black and blue or all natural kinda guy. But I think the Rad Red will brighten up my collection nicely.

Thanx again
