I love him very,very much! His sound makes me know what is perfect.
I am chinese,22 year old,I love guitar and Rock&Roll very much
I want to have some foreign friends,But still now,I 've no one

Hey Randy! "Welcome to the Add..."; I can't say it without paying some bung-hole D ) a nickel for the use of that title (you'll get what I mean after some digging around on this forum).

Anyway, yeah, Randy Rhoades was an awesome guitar player and songwriter!

I not only had the great opportunity of seeing Ozzy on the first three U.S. tours, but I actually got to meet Randy after their show at the Fox Theatre in San Diego back in June '81. I had to stick around for nearly two hours after the show waiting for my ride, and most everybody else was well gone (except for four of us).

The roadies' tour bus was still there, and we were just hanging out; talking about the show/music/whatever...when Randy comes out to the bus. He waves "hi" at us, them boards for a few minutes. Then he comes back out, walks over to us, and just joins right in on the conversation...way cool!

About ten minutes later, his girlfriend shows up in a VW Bug, and away they went. I'll never forget that show and that meeting!

Anyway, "Welcome to the Addiction!" There, I said it (digging in my pocket for a nickel...). I'll pony-up at the factory tour.

I never met Randy but I'm very good friends with Rudy Sarzo who has written a very intimate portral of his relationship with RR on tour with Ozzy that has just been released titled "Off The Rails"

Well, the exact converstation I don't remember - 24 year span and a lot has happened in my personal life, as well as life in general.

I remember Randy being this little guy (about 5'5", give or take an inch) and skinny (like a rock star was expected to be) and just being very unassuming (quiet, yet still outgoing; absolutely no ego). The conversation was just general talk about music and such; he was only with us for about ten minutes when his girlfriend from L.A. showed up to pick him up. He autographed each of our tour books (which I have long ago lost), then said he had to go.

A very down-to-earth guy! I'll always remember that with a big smile.

As far as chatting, stay on this forum and get to know everybody by reading the threads and posting replies, or start the occasional thread yourself.

You'll find that most of the Forumites here are especially passionate about music, guitars (or basses), as well as current events not even related to music.

I've never been into forum-type chat or whatever, but this one just has all the right elements (and people) that make you want to become an active participant in the different conversations and subjects (sometimes heated!).

Ditto...stay here and we can discuss here in this thread. I don't think Rudy's book has been released yet but it should be available this month. Rudy spent a lot of time writing this book and I've talked to him about it through the course of his writing it. Some of the chapters were very hard for him to write, especially the one revolving around the crash and RR's funeral.

Rudy's currently home now on a tour break with Dio so I'll email him and see when the book is due to be released.

ps: You are correct when you say that Rudy is a "modest" person. He's one of the most humble and considerate individuals it's ever been my pleasure to meet.
