I've got a question about my Sterling by Musicman Ray34

Do you know if there Pickguard is simular to the normal MM Stingrays?

Because I would like to get a little arty on the pickguard but don't want to paint on the stock one. So I wanted to order a Pickguard from Musicman. I know that there is a different in the Pickup but that little piece should be easy to remove.
I just want to know if the holes line up.

the only difference is the hole where the pickup goes. the other holes where the screws go line up just fine

Current production Stingrays have the same shaped pickup. Older ones have the two separate lobes. So, a pickguard for a Stingray with the current pickup shape should work if everything else lines up.

Also, there are third-party venders that can make a replacement pickguard.

I know that i would have to take away that upper part of the pickuphole. But exept for that, would it work?

Those have the old pickup shape and would need to be trimmed.

You would want to look at an H pickguard with the new pickup shape.

Please correct me if anyone has experience to the contrary.
