...isn't that hard unless the people that put the aftermarket pickups in it prior glopped solder all over the place!!! 
My buddy bought a sweet Teal Pearl JP6 and the person he got it from put Duncans in it, which didn't sound bad, but not as nice as the stockers.
Man, did they glop solder all over the place!! I was terrified that I'd screw up the 3-way cleaning all that crap off.
Anyway, all is well. The stockers are back in, nice clean solder joints, no hums or buzzes.
So, for future reference, if you can't solder confidently, leave JP's alone!!
