Really neat Big Al pics included

My band had a nice gig at the Beat Kitchen the other night and one of the local indie online rags sent a photographer. There are some really cool pics of the entire band, but some of the ones of the Big Al are really cool.

I noticed in the first pic you play with a pick, how much of the Vindits stuff do you play with fingers and how much with a pick?

Maybe about a third of the songs, I find some stuff, like songs with driving bass lines, just sound better with a pick. My bass playing buddy told me after the show that the songs I play with a pick have some of the best bass tone he's ever heard. I also happen to use a specific setting on my distortion pedal for those songs as well as solo the middle pickup on the Big Al.

Club lighting, all we play are these types of venues so we don't have to worry about anything like that.
