well i have a jp6 piezo, and it says limited edition right above the serial number, i was wondering what that meant( i mean does it say that because of the piezo, color...) or if every jp has it.

If your JP has a black headstock with gold lettering, it is a limited edition. Meaning we aren't going to make a whole lot of them. Could become a collectable!!

If the headstock is not black, somebody in the setup dept screwed up and put the wrong one on :o

cool

headstock is black, ill keep extra good care of it now.

What a minute....I just ordered a Radiance Red JP-6 w/piezo and asked for a matching headstock......will I get the matching headstock or will it be the black one? Just curious......cause this could become a very "slight", miniscule even, issue that I would like to resolve once I get an answer....appreciate it.....

Koogie...If you ordered matching, the headstock will be the same color as the body.

Thanks for the info Jon, I did order matching. I just can't wait to see it in person....haven't seen one live and up close, but the color on various sites look awesome..... :D

The one you ordered will not have a black headstock. We stopped taking orders for those at the end of March.

Scott

Of course any Radiance Red ordered now shouldn't have a black headstock because the first ones made were a special limited edition with black headstock. They woldn't be so special if they could be ordered indefinatly.

so i got "the special limited edition"?, is radiance red the color in my avatar(my guitar). it looks like a candy apple red up close

I, too, have a Limited Edition Radiance Red Petrucci.
I was just curious as to how many were made.
Does anybody out there know?

Plays like a dream BTW, thanks to all those nice people
at Ernie Ball who had a part in making it. You guys rock!

Hey, Ernie's back!

How's the JP brothel? :D :p ;)

Growing and growing and growing! Got some stuff on the way, other stuff pending. The count is up to 20, I think. I know, I got problems! When I get the chance I'll get 'em all out and take a pic.

Hey Ernie,

John Petrucci called. He's having trouble finding his guitars in colors he wants :D

KEITH

PS Yeah, you may have problems. But they're ones we'd all like to have.

Right on Ernie!!!! I would like to see an updated pic of all your guitars. Thanks for the response.....I did not want the black headstock personally.....I like my headstock to either match or go natural. Just a superstition thing.... ;)

My Ibanez is blue with a black headstock and has caused me great pains once in a while. However, it is a collector's item (only one of these was made as a test item for a famous axe slinger) and my wife bought it for me from some dude who was going out of business and kinda didn't know what he had......but, it can be an aggravating guitar and I blame the black headstock.... I really don't know why it is the headstock's fault....I just can't seem to get my fingers to do what I want on the guitar....maybe it REALLY is me?!?!?!!? ;) Nah, can't be me...hehehehehehe.....it's really the black headstock....hehehehe
