Ok, fingbeagles wasn't joking...........the frets on this thing are extremely dirty, not necessarily the fretboard, but the frets themselves............not sure how I'm gonna clean those. The pickups are super-smudged.............gross....
The strings have to go.............& the volume and tone knobs are loose...................
And you know what???????????
This freakin' thing rocks and I mean rocks! I can't beleive my ears..........this thing sounds so good through my little marshall practice amp..........and the neck, OMG.........it's unreal how comfortable this thing is.
I don't know how I'm gonna clean the sweaty-dirty frets..........., but I love it!
This is it...........this is the guitar, the feel, the sound I've been yearning for!
Excellent job EBMM.
Blahhhhhhhhh, how the hell do you post pics? It exists, really, it does.

Cool guitar! didn't you buy that guitar at a chain store that shall remain nameless? I don't care if I get flamed, but at the very least they should have at least cleaned it up for you. I mean sh*t what would it have took 15 minutes to wipe it off, real difficult you spent over a grand at the store. I could go on and on of different horror stories at many of their northern ca. bay area stores, that corporation is a joke

Dude, yes.....I completely agree. As dirty as it is & stuff (loose knobs), man, this thing sounds killer (no effects, straight through a little marshall 10 watter).
Very impressed to say the least. I'm sorry I waited so long to purchase one. I wish I hadn't been so impulsive when I purchased the parker the day I was supposed to have purchased this (a year ago).......I sold the parker. I would have never sold this.

Hey,

Yea it is sad that they let it get to that condition, just sat on the wall way up high and a few players tried it, when I played it and I was testing amps, told them to clean it up, but again more interested in selling other guitars, but the bottom line it is a great guitar with a great top and ROCKS:D
They should have given it a tune up, maybe Marty will see this and chime in but as we all said the 20th is in a class by itself:)

Yes, definitely..........I will never doubt the opinions on this forum again. It's hard when there are none of these in your area. I mean, I had never played a 20th until today. Man, the neck feels awesome. To me, it does have some slight jp-ish feeling to it (which I like), but not quite as flat or wide. Whatever contour it is, I love it, dirty frets and all.
There was a guy here at a local GC (about 20 miles away) that helped me with the purchase from Dallas. I may give him a call re: cleaning it up and stuff.
If you are reading this post, have not purchased a 20th yet, but are considering it.............DO IT! I'm not kidding. DO IT! This thing is absolutely beautiful to the eye, feels awesome sitting and/or standing, and screams.
I'm not sure what that dude in the GuitarWorld video demo used for amplification, but the sound on that video actually turned me off........and he even mentioned the word "honk" several times when describing the bridge pickup.
"Honk", my ass!!!!!!!The bridge pickup is all rock, baby. The middle position and neck position are excellent too......and sound just as they should, smoothing out the highs a bit.
If you want this, GET IT IF U CAN NOW!

Congrats on your beautiful 20th :) You should be very glad they didn't clean it. No knowing what gunk and swirl marks they might have put on it.

Actually, they didn't discount it at all for me. Is that bad? Should they have discounted it for me?
Well, I'm totally happy (for once) with my purchase and would consider selling all of my other guitars (if I had to) to help pay for this one.
I still see some 20ths on ebay, and according to my GC friend, there may be one or two still floating around GC somewhere in the Unites States, but not many.
Here is another shot indoors:
