Yes, definitely..........I will never doubt the opinions on this forum again. It's hard when there are none of these in your area. I mean, I had never played a 20th until today. Man, the neck feels awesome. To me, it does have some slight jp-ish feeling to it (which I like), but not quite as flat or wide. Whatever contour it is, I love it, dirty frets and all.
There was a guy here at a local GC (about 20 miles away) that helped me with the purchase from Dallas. I may give him a call re: cleaning it up and stuff.
If you are reading this post, have not purchased a 20th yet, but are considering it.............DO IT! I'm not kidding. DO IT! This thing is absolutely beautiful to the eye, feels awesome sitting and/or standing, and screams.
I'm not sure what that dude in the GuitarWorld video demo used for amplification, but the sound on that video actually turned me off........and he even mentioned the word "honk" several times when describing the bridge pickup.
"Honk", my ass!!!!!!!The bridge pickup is all rock, baby. The middle position and neck position are excellent too......and sound just as they should, smoothing out the highs a bit.
If you want this, GET IT IF U CAN NOW!

Your guitar is sweet!

I can understand doubting other people's opinions. I never would have been able to try one, and I probably would not have bought one had I not gone to another city and tried one out. At that time, there was no announcement that there would be a BFR JP of any sort. Certainly, that was a dream, a dream that has now come true, but that's what I was waiting for. Either that, or I was going to get a fully loaded JP as my next guitar. Then, I got to try one of these 20ths. Like everyone else, I was blown away. I was blown away from the first chord!:eek::eek::D:D:D

Neither of the videos I've seen of people playing a 20th for demonstration purposes (GuitarWorld, OVRDRVN) had impressed me. The thing that impressed me was when Make N' Music set me up in one of their amp rooms with one of these beauties plugged into a Mesa F-100 combo. It was then that I truly understood that the 20th Anniversary Silhouette was going to be a pivotal instrument in the history EBMM. I absolutely had to have one.

that is a very very beautiful guitar my friend... i know they mess up by sending you the guitar that way but on the other hand, im sure you feel great that you will be the one giving your axe the proper care that it truly deserves...

i wish i will win the lottery and get me one of those, along with the JP BFR's :D

Good news! My friend from GC is going to clean it up and set it up( if needed) for free! All is well that ends well. I'm going to take it to him this evening. So what do you guys think? RPS 9's or 10's?
