I have a fairly large collection some of my basses don't get the attention they deserve.

Two of my basses are EBMM Bongo 4HHPs. One is a 2007 LE Blue Dawn, and the other is a Dargie Delight II. The DD has never been played and the Blue Dawn is pretty mint. I decided I didn't need both and decided I would keep the one that didn't sell. Don't really know how many of these LE HHPs are out there and I am not in a hurry to discount the price........ anyhow;

I decided to put a set of new flat wounds on the Blue Dawn and I can't be happier with the bass. Great sound variations, easy to play and the Blue Dawn has always been a favourite colour of mine. This is definitely a keeper and a bass I will play a lot.

Does anyone else play a Blue Dawn or Dargie HHP?

Gorgeous, I love blue dawn on a bongo. The only one I've seen in person was adouglas' fretless, a truly magical color (and bass!)

I have Bongo 4 HH Dargies Delight II that I love. Next to my Bongo 4 H BFR roasted neck, it gets the most use. I have been wanting a Bongo 4 HHp too. If you do decide to sell that blue dawn and it is available in a month or two, I just may pull the trigger. They finally approved overtime to be paid out at my work and I signed up for a few shift to acquire more gear. With our tax return, I also just ordered a Bongo 4 Hp because I wanted a Piezo bass and planned on getting one next in an HHp configuration.

I'll give you credit Jim you have one of the nicest collections of Music Man basses that I have ever seen.

My Dargie HHp has one more string, but yeah, I know what you mean... The HHp Bongo is a frickin' Beast! I was really intimidated by all those knobs, but after a good year-and-a-half of persistance on my part we're very comfortable together. :)

Its funny how sometimes you go out & in love with stuff...
My Sterling is 90% of the time my favorite instrument but today, the Bongo is the tone I want in my head.

You must have too many basses if you have fallen out of love for the bongo. I have been in love with mine since the day it arrived!

Define too many ;-) Although I have a new problem. I left the bass plugged in and the batteries are dead..... AND I AM OUT OF BATTERIES! have to wait for my next Costco run to play the Blue Dawn.

Take some batteries out of one of your other basses.
