Ok, so the sound is awesome, but...

It's the bloody playing that plain BLOWS MY MIND!

Good thing is that this kind of master bass playing is inspirational, so thatks Craig I'll have a good bass evening:)

thats way kind of u sir. nice to know we have the ability to inspire each other from time to time. im not really happy with my playing ability. my bag-o-tricks just seems so "routine / old hat" to me that i take it for granted. we all need the encouragement from time to time i reckon. thank u for that.

In my normal playing (fingers, not really digging in), with all EQ set flat, switching from passive to active gives very little tone change for me. Noticed this on both the 25th and the Big Al. Am I not listening hard enough or missing something? Does the difference reveal itself when playing hard or something?

flat it shouldnt be diofferent.

Im glad that I got it...I love how he does it too...I have zero fill for that my fills are more like a guitar player trying to get even.

But the pearl of wisdom to all of you wil now be repeated....
"It's what sounds good with the tracki" How many times have I sat down to record....(3 times all grammy nominees...you have to be a dog to hear some of it) wher eI got my sound and then listened to the track.....

I notice a little difference between active/passive with parallel, but an even bigger difference when in series, especially when using the tone knob.

I just listened to this again really loud.

Craig, you know how I hate to admit that you're actually - well, you know.

Good.

Inspirational stuff, mofo.

Ugh, ...I can't wait my reflex to arrive!

I talked on some domestic forums in my country about EBMM reflex basses and so far I have just positive vibrations about it! :)

One guy want to come from other side of country to try it, real madness! :p

I was playing a loaned Big Al 4 SSS at the weekend, and the passive is just smokin hot. Like, reallllly good. Massive output as well.
