Help! Refin Bongo Headstock?

Hello all! Today I acquired a Sapphire black Bongo 6 H/S and its great! Problem is that the headstock is kind of chipped (bought it used) and just kind of sticks out. I know next to nothing about refinishing things so I was wondering how I could refinish it?

Any of you Bongo owners have this happen to you? And have any of you tried covering it up? How'd you do it? Thanks!

I dont own a Bongo but I have heard from other owners here that a black Sharpie goes a long way in making the ding less obnoxious on Black basses

Yes, it's one of those things that happen, and you notice it beacuse the headstock on the Bongo is painted.

And have any of you tried covering it up?

No, battle scars just show I play my basses
