Ah, yes forgot about the other 2. And how do you feel about the AL HH, compared to your other vast collection of EBMM's?

I like the AL HH. I gotta say it really feels/sounds a lot like an Axis Super Sport to me. Obviously with a different look. But I use it pretty interchangeably with an Axis live.

Dibert, no collection is complete w/o an AL MM90..... just sayin'... You can thank me after you play one.... ;)

I'd second that for sure!!!

I have a couple Axis Super Sports with MM90s. Not a huge fan. But, actually, the classic white AL no longer has the DiMarizio HH, instead, I had had a pickguard made up for TV Jones pickups - a TV Classic Plus in the bridge position and a TV Classic in the neck position. So that does give a different vibe than the DiMarzios. I don't think I have a photo of it with the TV Jones pickups tho. I'll need to photograph it during NYNGD 2020!

Wow, there are really some insanely refinished beauties up here.

I know that Richard Fay did some swirl refinishes on Silos... I will look for the pics of those...

A few weeks ago, I was planning a pink sparkle refinish for the Candy Apple Red body of my AL HH.

But I couldn't send it to MARTY BELL because we cannot ship anything to the USA at the moment.

It's a great thing because I have since changed my mind. It will still be pink but more flashy than sparkle (yet, not sparkle). Can't wait to finally ship it and have it redone. It will be a "one of a kind", "never seen" finish on a MM. (So it is NOT neon pink)

BTW, I shot a few mails to Marty to see if he'd agree to do the job. Some people have said, on various forums, that he is not super talkative. True. But his answers, if short, are always lightning-fast, accurate and very positive! I describe that as "easy-to-work-with"! My best guess is that he runs a business and has no time to tchat.

Man, Richard Fay's stuff looks awesome. I had contacted him in January and he told me that if I put down the deposit and sent the guitar in January, he'd start it in Nov or Dec and then it would take 10 weeks. WOW. His work is so good that he's got a massive backlog. Here's his site: Richard Fay Swirls
