Hey Guys, I just wondered if any other members have refinished (repainted) the top on thier axis guitars. In my search for my long lost EVH sunburst, I have developed GAS for an Axis, and Ive found some grest deals on used guitars. I would love to buy a player's guitar and refinish it in Vintage gold, since it's not a color option for the axis. I always loved that evh goldtop , But i refuse to pay 9,000 bucks for a guitar unless it can vacuum, cook and clean. I'm in Northern NJ and was wondering if anyone knows of a good luthier in the area to do a refinish. Thanks in advance guys.

I checked on getting my sub 1 painted and it would have been $300 to have them do it.

If you want a different brand guitar, check the worcester, ma craigslist for a goldtop for $500. I would have a very hard time justifying painting a guitar for that close to what I can buy for. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, pm and I'll link you.
