Definitely keep pushing forward! I wish there were some viable way to dramatically expand your production throughput without suffering any loss of quality. That way you could always make the 'classic' models and keep tinkering with new ideas. But in the end, I imagine that "slow and steady" is the only good way to grow Music Man without compromise.

OUr problem is production not ideas...In history there hasnt been a comapny that made #1 quality across their line in real big numbers. WE are always aware of the need to SMARTLY expand but are more concious of the fact that we have to uphold our values first and foremost.

No doubt about it, you are in a tough spot for sure. In a perfect world, if it was just a matter of adding more floor space and equipment, then life would be grand, but thats only a small part of what it takes. It's the employees / craftsmen / team, that makes or break the deal.
You can have all the coolest / latest and greatest tools in the world, but if you don't have the right people to run them, all bets are off.
If there will be a company that has "#1 quality across their line in real big numbers", my bet is on BP and crew.

SOme would say "Stop making new stuff when you cant make the stuff you already have" They have a good point but what drives me is the feeling that we are making forward progress in the evolution of the basses and guitars that we make and that is the juice, baby!

Wow! That is impressive growth! I'm glad to hear that such leaps are attainable without loss of quality. (In fact, the instruments are getting better!)

Just today i told my dealer that i wasnt going to order a BFR Luke, and that i was holding out for a BFR AL, maybe later in the year if i pray my ass off. Can just sit back and save my money now!

I'm just so happy this is happening, i look forward to all the details in the coming months!!!!

That's a good idea Rob i might just hold for BFR AL myself....Who knows i have time to think about it.

how true is that statement, I can think of a few large companies where the vintage product is considered better. Not in Music Man's case

I was kind of wondering about which was going to be my first EBMM Strat killer, or, at least, my first EBMM to satisfy my single coil jones. Could have been the Luke, the BFR Luke, Silo Spec, 20th Anniversary Silo Spec (if we get one), AL, or BFR AL. I don't know why I never expected to see the BFR AL this year. I know BP suggested I go BFR AL instead of Blue Dawn AL, but I didn't think we'd see it this quickly. The only thing that's settled now is that I'm going to wait until more of these things hit the streets so I can see which one I like best.
