So, is the Reflex going to have a pickguard, or is this going to be the first non-limited, non-BFR bass to go without one?

I'm really leaning towards the Bongo-profile neck on the Reflex over the Sterling profile neck of the Big AL on my next Music Man bass, even if I prefer the aesthetics of the Big AL. The days of buying one of each are sadly behind me, I think.

I hope some of the classic colors end up available for it, too. A Seafoam green Reflex 5 would certainly make it easy for me to decide. :D

it's hard to visualize a guard on it, I hope it stays guard free, I definitely will get (when the funds are there) a full maple neck version, fiesta red or surf green would be sick with a tinted neck like the classics.

I have a feeling it won't have a pickguard, simply on the basis that if the body design is a continuation of the Axis design, those guitar never had one and if they did, they wouldn't have looked as good. But mine is only an observation.

Ah, but you forget about the Axis Sport, which gives me a tenuous reason to post these pictures :D
