Regular Morse: Always been the same?

I'm just curious, has the regular 4-pickup Steve Morse model always been the same since production started in 87? I know the really old ones had a different heel, but besides that?

i think the neck has been changed to be the same as the Y2D, which has a thinner neck due to being a duplicate of Steve's worn no 1 neck.

Is the normal Steve even in production? I don't see many new ones on the bay or in shops...btw The Y2D is one of the most stunning guitars out there and I love the neck, it fit perfect to my hand...damn right handed guitars.

As far as I know you can order a regular Morse like any other guitar.

I know of two changes.
- The early Trem-model had a Kahler. Later it was changed to Floyd Rose
- The above mentioned newer neckshape

The store turned 54 in Feb, and August 1st marks 5 years since my father and I took it over. I think a big party might be in order for that day.

as far as i know......just the updated neck profile/comp nut....a newer slightly wider model tune-o-matic bridge.....& a slightly different blueburst formula. but these as small details though...... it's the same configuration .

as far as i know all EBMM guitars had a gloss neck finish until around the time of the EVH, after that all the guitars had oil/wax finish.

The old Morse used to have a 6 bolt neck joint, now it has a five.
