As some of you already know, my SR5 was stolen a few weeks ago. However, our own EB forum member, lowstrung a.k.a. Mike, was nice enough to trade my SR4 for his SR5.

The bass arrived in immaculate condition! It is a mirror image of the one was stolen except for the maple neck instead of rosewood. Which is good, because I prefer maple anyway :)

It's like reincarnation... She came back as a blond instead of a brunette!

Here's the pics:

I am very happy now... :D :D :D

Thanks Mike!!!!

It is definitely a testament to MM quality when you want to go out & replace a lost/stolen instrument with the exact same thing you had before. Good Job, MM!

That looks great. Have you basically closed the book on the old SR5? I'm guessing there is pretty much no way of recovering the bass? You always take good pics.

I must say, Chris, that your pics rival even Lord Bongo's pics. What make & model of digicam do you use?

Believe it or not - It's a Fuji A205 - 2mega pixels. It was a cheapy from RadioShack for $99. It helps knowing "how" to take a picture too ;)

uhh jubs, what happens if someone just takes the case all together? the bass will stay safe inside(asuuming your cable system works), but that doesnt keep the hole case from being carted off.

well think about it this way

a car with a boot

if it already has a boot on it are the police going to boot it?

sooo if you buy a boot you dont have the risk of a boot being put on your car by the cops

half of this system will be mental

you see a bass case thats locked up

is the thief going to snatch this

or is he going to snatch the other equipment at the show?

and the system would make it so they could look inside when the walk up, so they wouldnt know it is a MM bass
