Jack and I just saw Luke at at House of Blues-Dallas; and Luke's playing was positively stunning, as always. The Luke III really has a fantastic, forward tone. What killed me as a bass player, however, was Renee Jones' playing. "Solid" doesn't begin to do justice to her playing. She is a force of nature. She had a black/maple Sterling 5HH through an Aguilar amp and cab, and it sat so very well in the mix. Her right hand technique alone blew me away. Such smoothness, control, and power. Hats off!
