I like to share this story with you fellow knuckleheads:

Yesterday I played a show with my band.
We were opening for the top act, a soul/rock/pop singer with his group.

During soundcheck, the guitarists weapon of choice, a cherry sunburst Gibson LP Standard refused to serve its purpose and this guy had no backup guitar

So the singer came up to me and asked me if I could lend his guitarist my guitar so they could play their show. Since those guys were all very friendly and nice, I agreed and lended him my Luke, since he needed a guitar with a bridge humbucker.

I watched the show and the guitarist was having a blast throughout :p
And I got the opportunity to hear my guitar from a totally different point of view, which was very interesting for me :)

Once again the Luke proved to be such a versatile instrument, I don't think many instruments can replace a Les Paul in no time.....

Moral of the story: NEVER go without a backup guitar or get a Luke in the first place!

Oh yes, the lead singer gave me 20 EUR and said he will come up with something later on. We'll see...

I did not have the opportunity to talk to the guitarist yet, because I'm on a short vacation but I will catch up with him for sure, because I'm interested in his verdict on the Luke.
But as I said, he was really having fun!!!

I'll keep you updated!

Rock on!

My SUB1 has been my "second-string" guitar for a while now. I have had to use it a few times due to broken strings during the middle of a set.
