Replacement 4 way switch for Axis MM90s..? (series wiring)

I like to replace dual single coils 3 way switches with a 4 way switch to get the series wiring, which I am suspecting would sound particularly juicy on a dual P90 Axis Sport...!

Would I be ok with any generic replacement switches..?
For example:

Someone needs to measure the center to center dimension on the switch for a Axis mm90 and make sure a tele switch will fit.
Otherwise the tele switch should work if there are no silent circuit problems.
I use a 4-way on a Zion model 50 (tele) with a Charlie christtian type neck pickup and a moderately hot (Harmonic Design Vintage plus) bridge pickup.
It is a very usable tone. Very beefy with tons of sustain.

Yeah... I do question the accuracy of my readings a bit (electronics caliper, but measured on the screws):

1.628 inches
41.35 mm

A tele has a 1.625" screw spacing, so it should work.

Very cool idea. I don't think you'll have any issues with the Silent Circuit.

is what I get.

I've already wired a Tele this way before. I'd be more interested in the Axis Sport's wiring schematics, I'll go have a look around
