I'm replacing the bridge HB in my Silhouette Special & need some Knucklehead opinions!

Ok, here's the deal - I'm looking for more output than the OE pup, but something that will balance well with the 2 stock single coils. After some research, I've narrowed it down to either the DiMarzio Air Zone or the DiMarzio Breed.

If anyone has any personal experience to share or suggestions on other pups, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I had a breed in my old JEM and like @64 says it gets quite muddy!

I've had a Jb in my Silo spec, but switched it with a tonezone...and now I'm happy.

But get them used on evilbay and try them all out.

The Silo Spec I bought last month had a Tone Zone in it. It's a little hotter than the stock humbucker, but I think it works very well. can get mean and punchy when you crank it, but it cleans up nicely when you roll off the volume a hair.

Spoke w/ Dimarzio tech & they told me both the Breed & Air Zone are more suited to be used w/ a 500K volume/tone pot & neither one would give me what I'm looking for. They suggested either the Fred or the Norton. Anybody have experience w/ these?

I used to have a PAF Pro in the nridge position of an old guitar, but it's been too long to remember what it's qualities were. That was like 15 years ago & I was playing through some crap gear.
