Hi there everyone, First time posting here because i am frantic. the tuning peg from my machine head was broken off at a gig. I won't bore you with the details but despite searching all over the web I can't find any thing about getting a replacement. As you could understand i wouldn't want to replace it with a non matching machine head but this is starting to look like a read possibility. I've tried to email musicman CS but so far I've heard nothing. If anyone knows where we can get a replacement and who can ship to Ireland i would really appreciate it

Hi Eamon!

Beth from the International department here...welcome to the forum!

You can get one of these (I'm pretty sure they've got them in stock too) from our distributor for the UK:

Strings and Things

Also, "Blind Lemon", a member of the forum, is part of Strings and Things and can help you out if you message him too.

Cheers!

Eamon, I know exactly how you feel!! Exactly the same thing happened to my Sr5 about ten years ago:eek:. I was pretty distressed at the time until I went back to my dealer and they were able to order one really quickly. It's good to know the support network is in place when you need it in a hurry.

Welcome aboard and all the best with getting your replacement.

I have to recommend Strings and Things as the only and best Ernie Ball parts distrubutor in the UK. I got 4 brand new machine heads in the space of three days and at an extremely good price. They are very easy to deal with.

Hello then. I'm responding to eamonsr5 from 06-02-2008. I play a 1979 Music Man Sabre Bass. I recently saved a gigin' friends bass, that he traded to a G.C., in order to install a Kahler wammi (don't wanna tamper with the 79). It is a 1992 Stingray I think. Anyway my friend, who probably never plays a bass unless hooked up and cranked, didn't realize he had jostled and sevored the weld between the peg and the rest of the machine head. It is only the D string machine head. Still, I've been pluckin' around all night, with legal tender in hand, trying to find a site that will sell me said machine-head. I empathize with eamonsr5 having the same plight. Can any one help? Beth? Anyone?
