I have seen pics of Steve Morse's actual guitars (Not the Y2Ds). Some had had pickups replaced. I have seen the cream bobbins. Anyone know what he replaces his sig pickups with?

Why would he replace any of his sig pickups with sig pickups with different colored bobbins? that doesn't make sense to me.

In most of the interviews I've seen or read concerning Steve, the guitar is viewed as a tool so it would not surprise me to see him slap something different, pickup-wise, in one of his guitars.

There could be a million reasons why and whose to say the replacement ones aren't his sig models?

With the amount of travel an gigs he does, damage may come into play and he needs something ASAP.

I´ve started a thread yesterday, which you may have seen. There you see the zebra pickup. I think, that it is his #1, because
a) it´s so worn out and
b) in the youtube video at 00:42 yu can also see the kind of silicon or something, he has putted around his neck humbucker to decrease feedback (look at 04:25 here [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k6WZqBFSDQ"]YouTube - Ernie Ball - Steve Morse Talks With Sterling Ball #1[/ame]
