I was wondering if there's a way of getting a new compensated nut from Ernie Ball.
I've noticed mine is wearing out pretty quickly. I plat A LOT, I'm a pretty aggressive player, my pick strokes are punishing and I play wide vibratos, bend often and I dive the trem on my JP6 pretty often too, so it's pretty obvious why my nut is wearing out quickly. So, I'd like to get a new one.
Should my local EB dealer have them in stock?
Or do I have to order a new one directly from EB?

I could be wrong but if your axe has the comp nut now, EB will set you up but you must send the old one back.
I you DON'T have the comp nut now, you can't get comp nut to relace it (yet.....;) )

It DOES have compensated nut, but I really don't feel like sending the nut all the way back to USA, because I'm half the world away and that means I'd have a nutless guitar for at least 2 months. If I can get a new compensated nut without sending in the old one, that's fine, but if I have to send it, I think I'll settle for a regular nut I can buy in any local guitar store.

Not to worry.

I believe EBMM will send your new nut to your dealer, you just need trade-in your old nut when it arrives. So you need not to be nut-less for two months :D

I think Kevin or Beth replied with this answer in another thread regarding a JP neck.

2 months

Hopefully it wouldn't take that long. I sent a package to Serbia and it arrived in less than a week, so I hope that comforts you a little :)

Also bought a CD from Japan and it made it here in 5 days

I just ordered 2 nuts not compensated but i didn't send them anything they ask for the serial number and that tells them if it was shipped with a comped or an original.....if it was shipped with an orig they will only send an orig if it was shipped with a comped then they will send you a comped nut.....just call customer service and they will ship it right to your door
Hope that helps

and also not even 10 days from SLO to Nova Scotia Canada ....thats no 2 months

Ivan,
are you familiar with: Final Copy (TMS Music) ??

This is our distributor for Croatia. I'll pass the word to Beth/Kevin (International Sales) that you're looking for a comp nut!

Yes, I am. Thanx, just tell me what to do, and I'll do it.
Do I need to e-mail the CS? And do I need to send my JP's serial number?

Check out your PM's

Thanx!
They moved from that address, but they obviously didn't notify you.
But I know where they moved to, so I'll contact them.
I'll call them tomorrow (it's 11 pm here right now) and see what they'll tell me.

Thanks to everybody for their kind responses!
