Hello Mr Sterling,

I want to answer and defend myself… Be sure of that...

Also, you can sleep well and moderators of your board too, it will be my last message here because I don't want to waste more time here...

1) I never said I was out of work. NEVER. I said it is my MAIN tool for work, do you see the difference? And I said I have backup, maybe do you want the serial numbers? Huh…
I also ask if "have a backup", is a good reason to let a 2500€ guitar in this situation since 3 months? Really not. Please read carefully my messages. You are wrong sir... Hum...

2) You have never seen a neck plate broken? This one is broken.

3) You have the serial number and picture of the guitar that I sent to Kevin if you have my emails.

4) This guitar was bought in Japan when I was there. Is it a problem?
The french distributor (Mr Vigier) Cannot do anything because of that. I already said it in the other thread.

5) Yes the guitar was sold in Japan, because I bought it in Japan...
And I was not aware about the "5 years warranty". I was thinking it was a "life time" warranty...

6) Kevin asked me for a CC number. I did it. He said he will send a back plate. Nothing more and he apologize because it was not done one month later.
Check the emails!
One more time I was not aware about your warranty time... How much time your guitar are under warranty? 1 year? 2 years? Like TV and computers????
I didn't talk about that because it was not a problem for me because I didn't know your warranty limit... Normal...

Also, I DON'T WANT your sub neck plate. I don't want ANY GIFT FROM YOU. I will PAY this back plate, because I don't want to deal anymore with Music Man and I don’t want to owe you something Sir.

Oh… This is a copy of all the e-mail I sent and received from Kevin…

People think I’m a liar… I’m just gonna show I’m not…

July:

Hello Beth,

I have a problem with my Music Man John Petrucci 6 Strgs Piezzo MD.
The back plate is fissured... :( I really don't know how it is possible, it
was not broken before.

I travel a lot with my instruments and it may be happened during the
transport with humidity changes or maybe a blow or something like that...
So my question is, it is possible to get an other neck back plate from you?
As a matter of fact I live in France and bought this guitar when I was in
Tôkyo, JAPAN.
If you can find a solution for me, it would be a great help and very smart.
Thank you very much for your effort on it.
Best regards

Kevin answer on 25th July:

Thank you for contacting us direct, we always want to hear from our
customers during situations like this. So are you a permanent resident
of France? Generally we don't sell our parts direct, however since the
instrument was originally purchased in Japan and imported to France you
might have a tough time getting proprietary replacement parts through
our French distributor. If you'd like we can sell the part to you
directly, however you would need to first send us the "old" neck plate
as a "trade-in". This is our requirement whenever we send out a
proprietary part. How long has the crack been present? Has the neck seem
to have shifted at all? I look forward to hearing back from you.

Most Sincerely,

Kevin S.

My Answer :

Hello Kevin,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.
I have to let you know that you are one the only company in the guitar
business who answers to the customers e-mails. I have many Music Man, and
still very happy to see that people from music man take care of their
customers and reply to all my past and present e-mails. Thank you for that! :)

About the neck plate, yes, I live in France, in Paris.
The crack has something around... 2 weeks I guess... I made a reset neck and
checked everything, the guitar and the neck are OK.

The guitar was bought from ****** Gakki in Tokyo.
I have very good relationship with them, so as they told me, they will be
happy to help me about that if you prefere to send them the back plate.
Also, obviously it would be easier to send it straight to me, but it's not a
problem for me to send you the neck plate and it will be faster than to send
it to ********. But if you prefere to do that, this is not a problem.
Please let me know what is the best for you. Thank you very much! Best.

Kevin answer, the 1st August:

If you'd like just provide us with a shipping address and c/c
information and we will send it directly to you. Since you provided both
the serial number and pictures of the neck plate we will not require you
returning the old one. I will look forward to recieving your email.

All the Best,

Kevin

My answer:

Hello Kevin,

Please allow me to come back to you to get news about the back plate.

More than one month later, I didn't receive anything. So I just wanted to
know what is the actual situation about this.

Thank you very much for your effort on this!

Best regards

His answer 22 September:

My sincere apologies, as I have been out of the office on business. I
will get this going for you first thing next week.

All the Best,

Kevin

My answer:

Hello Kevin,
Hope you are well.
Well... I come back to you "one more time"... Because I don't have any news about this back plate... :-/
Basically the Petrucci is my main guitar... And I cannot play it since more that 2 months...
The first e-mail I sent you was 3 months ago... And it seems that nothing has been done until now...
Well... What I have to think? I have the feeling that I will never get this back plate...
Please let me know about the current situation... Thank you very much!Best.

No reply anymore….

As you can see I’m smart in these e-mails, I’m not a monster… I’m just a customer who doesn’t have patience anymore…

And I wish to get a back plate and never come back here.

That's all for me, I will not mess up your forum... ppff...

I just want a neck plate and you will never hear from me anymore for sure Mr Sterling...

OOPS! I replied.

If you really want to show that you are not an "ss**ll..", then stick around and contribute, otherwise people will just assume that you tucked tail and ran.

My two cents.

Didnt I ask him to sit tight until Kevin can defend himself?

Can anybody tell me why I should do anything for this guy?

He intentionally circumvented our distribution channels admits it is because of a better price in asia and then claims to think that our warranty would still be good after 5 years.

Neck plates can be broken, they dont break

You did.

You shouldn't.

I mean really, why is this exchange of emails up on the board? I don't have any business sharing personal emails that are or are not to or from me. There's a reason it's a Federal offense to open up snail mail not addressed to you. Oh well.

Mr Sterling... I'm not your dog... I speak if I want to speak, I move if I want to move and I sit if I want to sit...

Can anybody tell me why I should do anything for this guy?

You could show me something positive...

He intentionally circumvented our distribution channels admits it is because of a better price in asia and then claims to think that our warranty would still be good after 5 years.

You are a liar Mr Sterling... What do you know about my life?? I like in Osaka during 3 years of my life... I bought instrument in Japan because I lived in this place.
It is just crazy to here that from your part MR... I cannot believe my eyes that someone is trying to tell me where I have to live and what I have to do in my life...

Neck plates can be broken, they dont break

Bra bra bra... Of course this is why I wasted my time here... Because neck plate never break...

Oh... I said it was my last message... This time it is the good one Mr Sterling... Hope to never talk to you again...

And thank the mother of all that's holy that it's not!

Oh well.

BTW, I don't want to see a private message to you from someone else, the word private tends to indicate it is probably not meant for my viewing. Just a guess though.

Did Broken_Wings ever do this? Reading the emails, it seems that maybe he didn't, and it was just all miscommunication and misunderstanding.

Just something I saw.

Listen I read you r posts you said that it was cheaper in asia....
Here is the solution...Please contact the dealer you bought your guitar from and we will handle it through normal channels......He did say it was his tool for work and cant work reread his diatribe.

I love a guy calling me a liar.......

This is kind of sporting....trolls like this rally the troops here......
