I had a axis that i should have never sold
and am very well aware of the mistake that was but in the meantime i want to score a used sterling AX-40 and do some work to it.
My question is if i buy a gotoh trem will it be a retrofit for the trem the sterling has?
I have the custom wound dimarzio's to put in the ax-40 so i know she will sound just fine but are there any other parts on the AX-40's that would be a good idea to replace?
I will be re-doing the neck in birchwood casey's tru oil,then wax on the neck
