Back in the mid nineties I played professionally on the British scene with a black and maple Stingray 3 band.

I liked the bass but sold it in 2005 as I moved onto a conveyor belt of jazz basses etc etc

Then recently, I played a Stingray Classic 4H.

There were always elements about my mid nineties Ray which niggled. I found the fretboard radius too flat, the 3 band wasn't exactly to my taste etc etc

Well, the Classic solved all the issues with the old school profile and the 2 band. The bass presented me with such a perfect, idealized Stingray in feel and tone that I had to buy one.

It's on its way and looks to be a beauty. Very excited!

The "classic white" color has been discontinued. It depends on the light really, sometimes it's kind of cream colored, and others more white. Check out this link to see what I mean.

I picked up the twin to your bass a while back, and you're going to love this instrument. The 2 band EQ is great, it doesn't matter how you set it up, it sounds great... even if you crank everything (something that I'd never do with my other two Stingrays).

Post some pictures once you get your hands on your new bass, nobody here ever gets tired of the gear shots!

Yep, will post pics when it's out of the box.

With the classic I tested the notes just seemed to fall comfortably under the fingers. A glorious bass.
