Well, here she is! Pics do not do the Black Sugar justice. Guitar looks great, but more importantly plays and sounds fantastic!

Nice looking guitar! Do you find more stability in the roasted neck? I am also in the north east, and in general the necks on my guitars need regular adjusting. Especially the mahogany necks ... was wondering how the roasted was holding up this winter ...

Hi Carl,
Little too early to tell right now, only had it about a week or so. The studio in my home is environmentally controlled in terms of moisture. I do have some temperature swings down there however, I have not incurred any issues at all with bow in the neck. Does it go a little sharp sometimes with a temp drop, of course. Once I play it for a few minutes, everything is great. The neck feels SO nice, BigPoppa and the guys really hit a home run with this concept. Love your video, that's some terrific playing! One nerdy question for you....how cool is it to be friends with Petrucci! LOL!

John has always had a kind word for me about my music and playing. Which, of course, has been greatly appreciated. John and I are the same age, and have very similar influences. When I hear John speak about his early days and influences ... it could be me speaking. I think we were at Berklee at the same time ... but I did not know him then. He is a very kind person, who happens to be one of the best guitarist out there today!
