I made a little side trip today to GC in Dallas. Look what I found!

This one is turquoise pearl. This is the first time I had gotten to play one through a Mesa Mark V. I liked it very much! I can't wait to see more of the new colors on the instruments themselves.

Cheers!

I closed the door and rocked some on the Mark V. I was super impressed with the versatility and sound of the head and 2X12 cabinet combo. Here is the JPX I played:

There was a stealth right next to it as well, ironically, I didn't notice it until I was leaving! :)

Texas Finally!
Yep saw it today, very cool color and this on as all killer roasted neck!!

You should have tried it through the Soldano, very nice!!!

Guys if you want this one call Robbie, he has already sold out of stock BMS roasted but has this one still there plus it is 10% off.

Also has several killer reflexes ( think natural, emerald amethyst, blue )Al's other JP's:cool:

Oh and some killer roasted basses, though one sold while I was there.

Stopped by the GC in NYC today and played the turquoise pearl JP with roasted neck as well. Felt really nice and I had no issues with the finished neck. My perspective of the roasted neck and the ebony is that it sounded more immediate with a tighter attack and crispier tone...maybe a bit brighter due to the ebony. I think Pete described it well that it feels pretty even throughout the spectrum.

They also had a Cabernet Pearl BFR LUKE with rosewood neck, but somebody was evidently f*****g with it, as the neck and middle pups were unscrewed, a dent in the finish and completely wrong strap buttons!!! It still played nice, but I dont know what the hell happened there. Honestly, I was considering trading in my 20th for it...but alas it is in worse condition then my 3 year old 20th Silo.

They also have tons of other EBMMs...and MANY roasted basses. They had I think like 5 or 6 JP BFRs, Y2D with floyd, limited 25ths in trans blue and black, limited MM90 ALs with rosewood neck and mahog body, DD2 Silo Special and few others I cant remember.

Again killer guitar and neck in Texas, their is really something strange going on, poor Keith he does not stand a chance.

Rob that is a shame about that Luke, the only thing I can think of is that it was a trade in once you said their were different strap locks. I know the sales people cannot keep an eye on everything 24/7, besides I like most people would get annoyed having someone watching me the whole time while checking out a guitar. But sooner or later they are going to make signs saying if you damage it you own it. Seriously it is a very small minority that have no regard for checking out gear carefully and with respect, and it is not always the young guys that most like to shift the blame on.
