Hey everyone, quick question.

Was the roasted neck limited run a test to see if they would be marketable? Will there be another run of them ever? Did they sell well?

I ask this because the music store I work at just got in a SMY2D and a Luke, and I wholly regret not getting one. The glossed neck feels great, the roast is so so tasty.

Thoughts?

I doubt we have seen the last of the roasted necks but you can never tell and like TNT said I why take a chance, and that is why I own two lol. Seriously if you can take one home jump on it while you have the chance, I personally love the playability and feel with the ebony board kind of a feel all its own, besides how wicked they are in the looks department. If we do see another run I hope the boards are maple just to see one of Robs testicles in a jar on Sterlings desk.lmfao

Rob's testicles are worthless. He had a vasectomy.
He better come up with something better if he wants them to do him a full maple roasted neck!

Rob, just in case BP somehow comes up with that guitar (out of nowhere) - can you easily get Viagra??

I hope this isn't considered coarse jesting.

We have a Roasted Silhouette Special at my shop, and that thing is awesome! It's a bit brighter sounding than the normal Silo Special, but that's not a bad thing(that's why they invented EQs for amplifiers!). The mix of the Ebony and the Gloss on the neck actually makes it feel very very nice. I Love It!

I hope there will be other batches of roasted maple necks. Like Rob, I am not fond of ebony board (a pain in the a** for refretting) and the black sugar is nice, but I don't like black guitars, I prefer colors !
But in any case, I prefer to keep my testicles with me !

I'll sure we haven't seen the last of the roasted necks. I'd be interested to see how well the limited ones sold, that'd probably be a good indicator.

I noticed that another company is using roasted maple neck for one of their artists, I thought that was interesting.
Sorry I have been out of the loop a little, was there any roasted maple necks with maple fingerboard?

There were some GC specials on the bass side that got all roasted maple necks.

There's a Silhouette Special at DrumCityGuitarLand that keeps catching my eye, but I'll probably wait for the next batch to come out. Stupid SMY2D's aren't available left handed which sucks because I personally think they are the best for this limited burnt sugar treatment.
