I sold the silo special as i have a DD Silo special coming, and i wasnt giving the silo special much love, and yes my wife was starting to ask questions about my collection, i figured having 15 ( including ones on order) was getting too many!!!!!!! Had to sell something to accomodate the incoming AL's. I dont actually want to have heaps of balls, just a bunch of really cool ones. So really the blue silo special was getting uncool, it was pretty boring looking, but performed brilliantly though.

got a new AL coming too next week.......thats why the Y2D is for sale. Yes I love the AL.

hehe, thats crazy, 15 EBMM guitars, it seems to the wife is getting jealous and was getting worried you might trade her for an EBMM AL, hehe.

Ok, now I see u mentioning the morse y2d is up for sale. That I understand because I remember you mentioning that u couldn't get quite accustomed to the neck. If you don't mind me asking (and I think used prices are ok to post), how much r u asking for the morse?

it was my 2nd favourite when it was only one of 2 balls! That was a long time ago, pre-AL days!!!! I grew tired of the EMG's, i'm a sucker for a nice raw clean sound, not a noiseless sound as per the EMG's, i love hum an buzz on single coils! Thats why i ordered a SSS Silo Special and got rid of the HSS, i dont need humbuckers in my general playing, only about 8% of the time, and i got ASS'es for that. Now i just gotta get me a SUPER clean classy amp for my AL's, maybe a Vox.

I'm just crazy for the AL's, they rule. I found my axe.

Rob, if you're after super clean, you might want to try and look out for a Hiwatt (or Reeves, as they are basically a clone).

I run with a really clean basic sound and then colour it with pedals and the like. I found a Hiwatt last year at a good price and I've never been happier with an amp.

The only problem is that they're heavy (and can get quite loud )

its true, you can only play one at a time. there is a point when there's just too many for sure. i feel like i already have too many. i'll always sell ones i dont use, no point them just hanging there getting no love.

Thanks JSX! It is an evolving collection, moving in an AL direction! Its gonna look sweeter in a few months time when the Blue Dawn AL arrives. Then the BFR AL. *drool*

I actually have just been thinking of doing a cool group shot, maybe on Sunday afternoon when i have time i'll get something together! Should be fun!!!!
