Bought this the other day after hearing good things about it around the net, interesting collaboration!! Pretty good cd too, I love Alison Krauss, not such a big Led Zep fan but I do like Plant, the songs presented here are a good mix. Recommended!

I absolutely love Allison Krauss and Union Station. Union Station especially are phenomenal.

Hey! If Robert Plant can play with Tori Amos, why not Allison!?
I heard a quick clip of one of the songs so can't really comment on it. But I am very curious about the rest of the material. This thread only encourages that.
Looks like I'll be getting it soon then. ;)

It is a good CD. I read somewhere today that Zep just turned down an offer to tour after the recent one-shot reunion -- apparently, Page and JPJ were interested but Plant was not. I guess he's having fun, but that's one arena tour I'd have paid to see.

Sorry for the slight hijack.

I have not had the opportunity to hear this yet. I love Allison.

When I was in college, my girlfriend (now my wife) and I were walking in downtown Evansville and saw all these people dressed to the 9's walking in one direction. I was like "what the heck is going on? It's in the middle of the week! Is this some sort of occult gathering??"

We walked past the philharmonic theater and on the marquee I found the answer to my query:

Allison Krauss and Union Station tonight at 7:00 pm at the Center!!

The Center was a 5 minute walk from where we were.

It was 6:50 pm. I was a broke college student. BUMMER!!

More "semi OT":

Alison Krauss sings "Carolina In My Mind" from the James Taylor MusiCares-concert in 2006:

With The Chieftains: "Molly Bân" from Down The Old Plank Road-dvd:

I'd also recommend everyone to buy the "Alison Krauss & Union Station Live"-dvd.

Amazing stuff.:)

Been hearing gone gone gone on the radio over here in Blightyland and thought it was a great song. This thread is pushing me to listen to the rest of the album.
