Lots of people looked like Freddie Prinze in 1980, but that's a guy named Charlie Cosme. Grew up in France, moved to Texas and played in country bands until we co-opted him to play punk-jazz or whatever we called it.

That's great. No home studios, so we all rented studio time from Midnight to 4 in the AM... I remember it well.

For me, in those days, sessions always included the engineer telling me that my beloved Rick 4000 hummed, and could I please use the studio's P bass.

If only I'd discovered MM basses back then!

Oh, there was a cowbell. It was on top of the Mellotron, which you can almost see in the far right corner. (And even in 1980, the Mellotron was usually out of service.)
