JD is the new frontman for INXS! What a show -- props out to that rockin' house band throughout the whole competition.

as a fellow Canuckle-head I was pretty stoked to see JD win. but I still can't wait to hear what might happen with Marty and his band
the new INXS CD should be great, the 'world premiere' tune sounds like they're digging back into the Kick sound a bit... very cool.

I'm also excited for JD, I had him picked from at least the second show, especially when he did that awesome version of that California Dreaming song...we Canucks know how to get it done. I always dug INXS, I thought they had somewhat of an original sound, back then...

There were a lot of great vocalists and performers in that competition. J.D.'s voice probably fit better with INXS than any of the others. Although I though he was somewhat a jerk a lot of the time, he was best suited to the band.

Marty, Mig, Jordis, Suzie and Ty were also excellent singers. Marty, Mig and Ty definitely had the most stage presence though.

DAMN I missed it last night. Though I never thought JD would make it all the way, I thought that Mig would have been the one.

I agree with Mobay, there were a lot of really great singers and I have a feeling that we'll be hearing from some of them in the future.

I never thought JD would have made it all the way either, and I thought that Mig would have been the one too. Mig actually seemed to shoot himself in the foot with "Bohemian Rhapsody" [again we hear it], which is a great song, lots of energy, but it seemed like the house band and the song had to CARRY Mig in that performance. He choked.

JD, on the other hand, did really well with "U Can't Always Get What You Want", demonstrated his chops and had just enough energy to get the crowd going. Marty... Marty, Marty, Marty.... GREAT performer, I just don't really like his voice...

So which band will be the ones hosting the show next year, looking for a new lead vocalist...I can see VH being a promising show...

I thought Mig would have been a better pic for the band, however I think JORDIS was by far the most talented of them all. Sure, they all could sing, but Jordis just had "star quality" and a signature sound that was all her own IMO.

Again, not necessarily a good pick for INXS, but definately someone I would expect to hear from in the future.

I give BIG props to that house band.
They were spot on every night!
