Thanks to all for the information...

Even the thread hijackers. No problem, I enjoy the humor.

As far as the question at hand, I think it all boils down to the fact that I'm a gear whore. There's absolutley nothing wrong with the POD, I've been happy with it since I got it for Christmas last year. I guess the grumblings about tweaking are my way of justifying another purchase.

I'll probably end up getting the Roland 60 and then eventually the Tech 21 in either the 10 or 30 configuration.

G.A.S, ya gotta love it...

Oh yeah, I just saw a new amp in my local store the other night a 30 watt Orange... hmmmmmm, looked interesting, here we go again. :D

I'm sure others will have contrary opinions, but I have never been able to dial in a sound that I liked on an Orange amp. They just sound fuzzy and sh*tty to my ears... like plugging your electric guitar into your old home stereo that played 8-tracks.

I did that when I was 13 and thought it sounded really cool (not). :D That and I had a radio shack 2 channel 20 watt PA that overloaded really nice on 11 or so (so I thought). I went from that to a Mesa 50 Caliber and haven't been the same since:D

lots o people love orange amps, especially the rockerverbs, but I think they are way overpriced and too dark sounding... but if you have the cash , I guess its not too expensive..
