Just thought I'd post this as reference material for anyone thinking of fitting a Roland GK pickup to an EBMM. Using the forum search hopefully this'll appear in the list if anyone is interested in fitting one.
I recently fitted a Roland GK3 to my Luke. The process was nice and easy and is fully reversible as it's non-invasive (i.e. I didn't choose to physically screw it onto the guitar).
The control unit is housed on a metal plate, which is nicely padded on the guitar-facing side so there are no scratches. It attaches to the guitar via the lower strap button, which you unscrew slightly, slide on the control plate, then screw back down again, which holds it in place. The second section of the control plate attaches to the first by another screw, and grips the back of the guitar, again it is nicely padded.
The only fiddly bit is fitting the actual GK pickup, which involves positioning it between the bridge and the bridge pickup, and using spacers to raise the height so that it is close enough to the strings (I forget the exact measurement, the GK instructions are fairly easy to follow).
The GK pickup can be screwed onto the guitar, but again I chose to just use the supplied sticky pad which can be removed, and is the only potential source of damage to the guitar if it was removed hastily. I think I'll take my time if I ever decide to remove it.
So...it can be done, it fits nicely and doesn't intrude on my playing. It adds a little to the weight of the guitar but not noticeably when playing. I've got it all attached to a Roland VG99 which is ace.
