Having seen so many great pictures of Als recently, and since I'm now totally converted to rosewood necks, does anyone know when a standard or BFR Al will be available with a rosewood neck and natty headstock?

Being a single coil lover, I'm not too excited yet about the new dual and triple humbucker Als, although that may change once I've played one!

I'm ready to part with my EC Strats and need an Al to compliment my Luke on stage.

Thanks for your help guys.

Rob

You may be right but the "More Torture" thread posted by BP definitely had both the dual HB Al and a series of standard sunburst Al's with single coils and rosewood necks.

Hey, I live in hope right now. Otherwise, I may just have to wait for DD3!

see that's what I thought. a rosewood neck with a rosewood board on it, allowing the truss rod to be inserted prior to the fingerboard being attached. but, I was wondering if its possible that the ebmm rosewood necks are one piece, in that they have a rosewood skunk-stirpe on the back - which would be made to get the truss rod inside the neck.... and then there is no need to attach a separate fingerboard....

I think the former not the latter...

Rob - you mean it's cut in two halves then the truss rod is inserted and then the two halves pressure glued back together?

Some one does this, can't remember who...

but you've got a rosewood neck, so do me a favor, look at the edge of the fretboard (side of neck) and see if you can spot if there is a separate rosewood fretboard, I know, it's hard to tell with EBMM as they do such superior work ..
