So I can get a JP6 with the rosewood neck option, & it will have stainless steel frets?
I LOVE stainless steel frets!
Any other MM guitars with SS frets?
Thnx

But the that guitar was special for that PDN offer, right?
I'm just wondering if ss frets are an option for this rosewood neck special offer?
Thnx

Any guitar that comes stock with SS frets will have them. So yes, any JP you order will come with SS frets.

Despite my aversion to Rosewood (I've never kept a guitar with a Rosewood board), I'd be hard pressed to pass up an all Rosewood Morse if it had SS frets on it!

I would prefer SS for most guitars as fret wear is not fun but is there any consensus that SS frets sound more sterile, or is this just a placebo effect?

I've seen some debate both ways, but many well respected luthiers state they can hear zero difference. I have SS on all but my EVH and SS frets do nothing to detract from the tone: zero "sterility" in my experience.

I have been playing my JP6 for a year and a half now and I have been unable to hear the difference between stainless steel frets and the reg nickel frets. The ss frets still look brand new after all the playing on them.

Stainless steel frets are NOT nickel frets, so is their a difference - of course! However minimal or minute it would be, there are dozens of differences (if you break it down scientifically). And, they can be "compared" in each individual category.

I actually "love" both, although if I had to choose just one, I know which one I would have to pick. I hate the "wear" on nickel, and I enjoy the buttery smoothness of ss. There may be a slight "ping" of treble with the ss, but one thing
you can't do on ss is "burn" a note. (play a note and wear the fret up and down for until it burns). Of course this will really mow down the nickel frets in no time.
