Currently, I use Regular Slinkies on my Morse. The Morse has a standard bridge/tailpiece and not a Floyd.

I know it came from the factory with RPS strings. I have used Regular Slinkies for several years now. My question is exactly what will RPS strings buy me that the Regular Slinkies won't?

Thanks all,

More protection against string breakage, and better tuning stability. The wire wrap prevents string slippage and one of the key breaking points on a guitar string, the ball end area.

The packaging also states added sustain, but I can't tell the difference.

If Slash isn't your cup of tea, consider the fact that Steve Morse and Albert Lee use them as well. (I'm wearing a Guns N Roses shirt right now, go easy on the guy!)

I was pretty much kidding about Slash. No, he's not really my cup of tea; but I respect his contributions to music. As far as the other two guys you mentioned, thay are more my cup of tea....
