Hello all just two quick questions-

1-When is the S.U.B Sterling out in the uk?
2-How much will it be?

Any help would be really appriciated.
Thanks! :D

Ignore the comments about the SUBs "sucking". There good instruments for the money - there are several people here on the forum and over at the pit that have SUBs and are very satisfied with them.

As far as your questions - Sorry I don't know.

CG, didn't you mean to say "You don't have any sense, do you?".

Yes, that's what I meant. I stand corrected... Thanks for setting me straight. ;)

I was just so shocked - I thought I had logged onto TalkBass by accident. :D

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one, CG. They're great instruments for the money! :D

I agree. American made, good looking and sounding basses for under $700 bucks. Nothing about that sucks.

I just tried a S.U.B Sterling at GC the other day & I think it felt & sounded pretty good. It's not as nice as a "real" one but it's pretty close & for the money it's excellent for the price if you can't afford a standard Sterling.

Well, they're actually pretty good. Blow anything else at that price right out of the water

Comparing UK retail prices...

Stingray 3 band £1245
SUB 4 active £675

That's not a few bucks more

They're not on the UK distributor's price list yet, but I'm guessing a sub sterling would be around £700 retail and, in a few months time, you should be able to get one for around £600 if you shop around

I just don't understand why they "invented" the SUB anywayz
Is it for peeple who can't aford a "real" Stingray or Sterling or whatever?

Is this for real?

They are not in any way comparable to a SUB.

Squiers and OLPs are great for beginners.
SUBs are great for people who would otherwise be looking at a US Fender, etc.

Spot on, E.E.B. Here in the US, you could probably score a nice SUB for around 400-500 off eBay, but don't quote me. Anyway, as I've said, they're awesome basses for an even awesomerer..er price. They sure as heck beat my ESP anyday, eight days a week, y'know?

You can quote me. I just bought a new SUB5 on the bay for $475 with a case. It still has the hang tags from GC and I'm told it still has the plastic on the p/g. It's supposed to be shipped to me today.

...And we don't even need to bring up how much they kick the a$$ of ANY Ibanez on the market in the same price range!
