Found this while messing around with setup/troubleshooting the "Too-Quiet Neck Pickup". I used Search but nothing came up. What does this do? Is it not advisable to mess with this?

It's a "Silent Circuit" trim pot.

When the selector switch is in position two, then only one coil of the neck pickup is being used and not both. In turn it can be susceptible to hum from the mains electricity supply. The trim pot can be adjusted for a cleaner output. If you're not having problems with hum interference then don't touch it. It has nothing to do with the volume of the pickup.

Thanks for that explanation - that was indeed my question, as I (like many others) have noticed that the neck pickup is MUCH quieter than the bridge.

Somewhat surprised that the Silent Circuit is adjustable - based on my limited knowledge of guitar electronics, I assumed a hum-cancelling circuit is either "On" or "Off",,,

i remember reading that the neck pickup was set up factory to be quieter than the bridge in terms of pickup height, adjusting pickup height should fix it, i always have my neck pickup way close to the strings cause theres no blendy knob

If it is to be used across different instruments with different pickups, and bearing in mind that every component in the device will be +/- 10% or 20% of nominal value, it makes sense that it is adjustable. I also find that different settings are optimum for different types of buzz, i.e. the best setting for low frequency hum may not be optimum for higher frequency buzz.
