The saddles on my Albert Lee guitar seems to have corroded a bit - in some areas, the chrome is coming off. I was thinking of replacing them with the saddles originally equipped with my Silhouette Special. I put Graphtech saddles on the SS two years ago, so the original ones are still in good shape.

The question I have, is there a difference between the saddle heights on the AL vs. the SS? I could take it to my local shop, and I am very confident they would do a great job, but I was thinking of trying it myself. Is it a rather easy swap?... or could I royally foul things up and just end up taking it to the shop anyway?

They should fit directly, shouldn't be a problem.

FYI, there have been several different saddles used. The original ALs had flat saddles. The trems then had vintage saddles with v grooves so the strings would stay in the same place. The piezos have the block saddles. The newer ones have vintage saddles, but they're slightly different.
