nice guitar. what year is it? I have my axis sport that I'm thinking about unloading cause I need a more straty sound....this guitar is very close to what I was looking for....except I wanted Hss config, I wonder how much diff. there is between Hss and HsH..... :D

My Silhouette was born in March, 2002. I am the original owner. I am not very familiar with the sound of SS, sorry. :(

I've had both and the biggiest difference I have found is that the neck position sounds a bit fuller. Kind of paulish, rather than stratish (are those words?). Other than that, no real difference.

No - the Silo has 24 frets and the Silo Special has 22, so that impacts the position of the neck pickup. Also, it is hard to see unless they are side-by-side, but the Silo Special's body has more wood since the cutaways are not as deep.
