I ordered this Luke III from Sweetwater back in October. It originally wasn't supposed to come in till the end of the month but it shipped a couple of weeks early. woo hoo!

I owned a Luke II a few years back & sold it to Dav in France. I loved that guitar but at the time needed to sell something to fund other purchases (you guys know how that goes). Man, I really have missed the Luke neck profile! My old Luke II had the piezo bridge which was lower-pitch-only. I'm having waaaaay too much fun with the floating vintage trem on the LIII. The pickups + boost are fantastic as well! One thing about the Bodhi Blue color...it is very hard to photograph accurately...MUCH richer in person.

So in summary...a big thank you to Sterling, Dudley, Mr. Lukather, and all of the fantastic craftsmen at EBMM for producing such a fine instrument. A big thanks to A.J. as well for answering my questions on the order status!

Merry Christmas to all you guys! IMG_3186.jpg IMG_3189.jpg IMG_3190.jpg

Congrats!

The LIII is my favorite EBMM (with the rosewood neck, for me).

Merry Christmas!

That guitar in that exact configuration - IMO, one of the most spectacular looking/playing/sounding guitars there is ANYWHERE - I just dig it!

Nice! I'm also "eyeing" a Luke3 with an all rosewood neck. But since I just purchased a JP12 a couple of months back, the wife has placed a hold on my purchasing powers. lol :D

Somebody must have been a very good boy this year. . .congratulations. As the LIII isn't available left-handed (yet!?!) I'm trying to come up with a word to signify my jealously purely about not being able to play such an outstanding instrument. Any suggestions are welcome.

You mention that the bridge on the Luke II was down only, is this due to the piezo. I have a Luke II on order and am hoping that the bridge can be made to float.

Congrats - the Luke III is the most amazing guitar. Silver hardware with the Bohdi Blue finish is beautiful.
