This was jam with Deep Purple few years back when they did a tour together. I guess Steve just handed him his guitar and that was that. Satch was probably confused as hell with all the switches hehehe. But he still sounded like himself I'm sure. Would love to see that.

I am sure Satch has a Ball or two in his closet. I never understand the freak out a lot of guys have when they see an artist with a different model guitar. I would doubt there is any recording guitarist that just owns one make, just as I am sure more than half the forum if not more only owns one make.

Yeah, Steve Vai actually used a gibson explorer on some of his early rhythm tracks. He has a bunch of different guitars....

Satch was in Deep Purple very briefly before Steve Morse joined.

Blackmore, Bolin, Satch, Morse.... some talented players in that band over the years!

OK this is not fair to the fine folds at Ibanez and Mr Satriani. This is another reason why in the very near future you will wonder why people stopped sitting in and jamming. The person plays a borrowed rig and guitar has no soundcheck and nothing is set how he likes and does it in the spirit of musicianship....and the the pic never dies on forums and the performance is on you tube with very harsh comments usually....Joe Satriani uses Ibanez.

The few times luke or albert or JP has done thisthe pics end up on other forums woith rumors of the player leaving us....
