Hello.

I am considering buying a SBMM Cutlass. Does anyone know what the finish of the maple fingerboard is? Gloss or satin? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you so much!
How do you like the guitar in general? I asked about the fretboard finish because I typically don't like gloss fretboards - preferring rosewood - but am interested in the satin maple.

i like the guitar! didn´t quite like the pickups, they sounded a bit thin. But that was no problem, I simply changed them.
The guitar feels very nice. I got it used for a price which is similiar to the US street price. German pricing is nearly twice...
What is great is the feel of the neck (satin) and the fact that it has a solid steel block in the vibrato. I´m pretty sure it has a better quality, than a Mexican guitar of the "F".
I played a EBMM Cutlass for just a few minutes in a shop. Of course it felt a bit more classy, but this also has to do with the looks (a tinted maple neck, whereas the SBMM is rather light... or the special vibrato).
As I already had and still have an Albert Lee, I thought they were too similiar to justify the expensive version of an Cutlass. Athough it is closer to a Strat than the AL

After much thought I've decided to wait (I hate waiting!) to see the upcoming NAMM announcements with the hopes of a new SBMM St Vincent. If not I'll pick up a Cutlass. Either way I'll be getting a new MM soon.
