Guys, have a StingRay 5 in Black, manufact date November 24 1999

Looking to do a bit of renovation and shine it up with new screws and whatnot and have some questions

Are all pickguard screws the same? Ive got a big order of other equipment from thomann and these are the closest things Ive seen to what Im looking for, will they do?
PARTSLAND PICKGUARDSCHRAUBEN SCHWARZ - Thomann Irish Cyberstore

Does someone have dimensions of the nut and is it worth switching from plastic to brass?

Also dimensions of the adjustment screws for the pickup or are humbucker screws all the same?
THOMANN HUMBUCKER HIGHSCREW SET BK - Thomann Irish Cyberstore

Has anyone changed the colour from black to chrome or gold? Just thinking what it would look like.

The controller knobs look jaded, is it a big deal to change these or is it worth the hassle of changing?

thanks for any feedback.

hey , thanks for posts. got screws etc, everything looking good however got the brass nut but it was wrong size, half a mill too wide so need exxact size or close too it in bone to adjust with file. In the last 2 weeks Ive mailed MM cust service (twice) and also mailed string & things as recommended above , no reply from either. :( Its probably not the most exotic question or most profitable question ever but was hoping for some sort of a reply from anyone. 2 local music stores have said theyll order the part for me if I can get the part number which I just cant seem to find anywhere.

So its either hand into a luthier to carve me one from bone, Ive been quoted 70 euro by 2 of them, or I could get one from stewmac STEWMAC.COM : White Bone Nuts and do it myself. I wouldnt mind getting a couple of them and the tools and trying it myself, i think it would be a relatively inexpensive thing to try and do and non intrusive as long as I undercompensate with the filing I can still rectify, however has someone got the rough dimensions I should be getting for the blanks for the nut slot for the musicman 5? thanks.
