I talked to the guy that is selling that green EVH on ebay...(really nice fella)...he also has a pink quilt EVH and a blue qulilt EVH.

They are both MINT (he sent me pics). :)

I asked him how much for the pink, he said $4500!

If i had it i would have gave him that much for it...the quilt is just as good as my EVH! It must be nice to have 3 mint EVHs in 3 of the rarest colors..all mint!!!

I wish i would have snagged those up back in 92' when all those rare colors were out there!!! i could retire now!!! :D

Post the pics, I'd love to see them! The pink quilts are pretty out there and are probably my least favorite color. And the green one up now looks like a cross between a flame and a quilt. For that money, I'd hope to get a better top.

I've got a red one coming from a forum member to go with my amber one . . . should be arriving Tueday.

Did you see the blue one on ebay now? Best quilt I've seen on a blue one.

Sweet quilt!

> how do you get the picture to come up on the post

You have to use the "insert image" dohicky rather than the "insert hyperlink" thingy.

You think? I hope you're right, but I think it will be closer to three grand. For $2200 I'd buy it right now!

By the way, great amber quilt you have. Mine looks very similar to that. I posted pictures of it a few weeks ago here. Unfortunately I don't have the pics with me on my laptop, but I'll post some when the after the red one shows up next week.

Hello, I am the guy selling the green EVH on the bay. I know the price is on the high side, but here are my reasons. First off, there were two new old stock EVH guitars that were sold on Ebay last month and both went for over $4000. Secondly, the colors were red and purple. Those and amber were the most produced color for the EVH guitars in the 1990's. Ernie Ball only made about 80 of the green guitars and I feel the top is very nice. I have only seen a handful of green ones in over 10 years and this has been the nicest out of all of them. So when I hear people say that the top on my green isn't all that great, I say what kind of top do you have on your green EVH? That combination is what lead me to that price. Over $4000 for a common color or $5500 for a super rare color? I am interested in trades for other MUSIC MAN EVH guitars, so email me if you are interested at [email protected] Thanks! :D

The EVH's are nice guitars. I, for one, however do not buy into the rare color pricing. Not to say that asking that kind of price is ridiculous, someone may be willing to pay that much. Just not me. I have seen better tops and I have seen worse ones. It is all in the eyes of the person buying the instrument. Where is my green EVH? Don't have one, don't want one. That's me and I don't want it to sound like I am being sarcastic here, cause I am not. I just hate the "rare" color type of advertising.......like the Blue Dawn's, Burnt Apple and what not.

Good luck with the sell. I think you will get a decent amount for it if not what you are asking for. Would you mind showing a pic of the pink one, I would like to see it if possible.

did i do it right????

thanks for all the compliments on my EVH!! i love that guitar and i would have to be in big financial trouble before i would sell it. it was a good catch for $1800.. :)

i'm a little miffed about the color/$$$ thing too! i think the quality of the quilt top should be the main factor in setting the price, not the color.

Jim, I appreciate you chiming in here. Don't get me wrong, the green EVH is nice, and perhaps you'll find a buyer. But I've seen better tops (IMHO) than that. I'm keenly aware of the fact that they made less than 100, which will drive the price up. And I've talked to Barry Menary (I believe you know him)several times about these guitars and their prices and we seem to be in agreement, for whatever that is worth.

I don't have a green one and I doubt I ever will at that price, as I could get two EVHs for that probably. The Guitar Hanger has sold numerous EVHs and they have had some amazing green ones (unfortunately their website took the large pictures down of the guitars they've sold). My amber is stunning, and the red one I'm getting Tuesday isn't bad either. To each their own . . . and I've seen pictures of your collection - - very nice!!

Hi Krell, Barry is my EVH bud. The EVH I own is from the Guitar Hangar. I agree that a guitar is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I always have felt that the rare colors green, solid black and solid gold will always bring more money because of the fact that so few were made. I think the top is nice, and if I ever figure out how to post pictures on here I will put some up of my green, pink, and my personal favorite BLUE. I am in the market for a killer top trans black, blue, gold,or purple, so if you know of anyone out there, please keep me in mind. It is cool to see other EVH tops and colors, so I think we should start a hread of EVH pictures. That would be cool! Take care, Jim.
P.S. Brent has one of the nicest EVH tops I have seen on his gold one!
