Well, one of the reasons.

I felt compelled to tell the world about this. Those familiar with Slinky bass strings will know that in the inch or so towards the ball end of the string the winding becomes much thicker. I recently discovered this made it impossible to string my Spector Rebop 5 string with the 0.130 slinky. I emailed EBMM customer service, more out of letting them know their market among users of this bass was limited than asking for a solution, I didn't expect a response.

Two days later, I get an email from EBMM customer services saying they'd been in contact with Spector. Spector apparently said that they'd had this problem reported before and a design change is imminent. Meanwhile if I want to send my bridge and the 0.130 to them they'll do a (presumably free) filing job on it to accommodate the string.

Good work from Spector and fantastic work from EBMM. Cheers guys!

Awesome...too bad you can't advertise stuff like this (directly anyhow). Keep it up EBMM.

Jodi, for some reason I could imagine you in a football helmet tackling someone.

It kinda makes me laugh but at the same time reminds me never to piss you off.
